Limited Edition GERBER "Cotton Gordon" Safari Set - SN 020/100. Up for sale is a very unusual GERBER Hunting Knife set. Limited in production to only 100 sets.

This set is SN 020/100 and is marked on all 3 knives. "Cotton" (named for his white hair) gave these sets as gifts to those who visited his ranch in Tanzania. The knives were all made to Cotton's exacting specifications based on local African tribal knives.

Peter Gerber has never produced a knife like them in any other offering. Truly one of the most exotic and collectible versions in the GERBER family, this is a beautiful set to behold. The largest knife has an schrimshaw and silver medallion with the Cotton Gordon logo: two tufts of open cotton, inlaid in the Zebra wood handles. The two smaller capping and skinning knives fit together in the traditional "combo" sheath that epitomizes the early Gerber "combo" sportsman sets from the 1950's. A fantastic set - and you can be certain that owning one of these sets, will place you in a club of distinguished collectors.
